The opening batsman Virender Sehwag and Baroda pacer Zaheer Khan made a comeback and return into the Indian team as they were named in the Indian squad for the tour of Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
The selectors met and announced the team for India's tour of Sri Lanka where they will play five ODIs and a T20 against the hosts.
Sachin Tendulkar has been rested for this squad.
Due to bad performance in IPL Ravindra Jadeja has been dropped.
Sehwag and Zaheer khan, along with Zaheer's pace partner Umesh Yadav, had sat out of the Asia Cup at Bangladesh in March on the grounds. Also they did play in the IPL for their respective sides in the following two months.
